Hello there and welcome the brand new shop and blog for Anya's Studio!

For my first EVER blog I thought I'd give you a very quick insight into who I am and what I do. The site, the studio and the paint are all owned by me, Anna, the one-women-band behind the scenes. I'm originally from Lancashire but have lived in Rutland for over three years now with my husband, two sons and a bonkers cocker spaniel called Peri.

"But why is it Anya's Studio?"

Anya is what my husband has called me for as long as I have known him (a whopping 12 years now) and it's just kind of stuck. It's almost like my stage name, only a bit less glamorous!

"And where is this Studio?"

It's the second largest bedroom in our house and my haven of creativity. It is crammed with shelves of paint, projects on the go and many cold cups of tea. There's a cluttered desk by the window and a headless mannequin called Sam who models all the painted jackets!

"What do you paint in your arty den?"

I love to paint anything and everything. I adore exploring new techniques, styles and subject matter as I never plan to stop learning or improving on what I do. I can often be found hunched over my desk working on some intricate detailing on a jacket or shoe. However, a lot of the time I'm also sat on the floor, surrounded by ink, paint, paper, lists and more cold tea.

"Anything else?"

I love what I do and I get so excited that I can share it with you too. I hope that you enjoy looking around the site and keep checking back as I'll constantly be adding new things. I'm super sociable and friendly so please do get in touch and let me know what you think and feel free to ask any questions as I'll be more than happy to answer them.

So what are you waiting for? Go and explore!
